Name released of woman killed in Squaw Valley skiing accident
Investigators say Elizabeth Danel was skiing in the Headwall area where she fell and slid down the slope through trees, sustaining multiple injuries. Ski patrol was notified at 1:35PM February 27, 2016.
Danel was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, but was unconscious when ski patrol arrived and administered CPR, working with the Squaw Valley Fire Department, which pronounced her dead an hour later.
