Covina Community Grieves Officer Killed in Crash

The death of a 28-year-old motorcycle officer has a Southern California community grieving and a police department looking for answers. Wednesday, the 60-person police force held a flag lowering ceremony dedicated to fallen officers and their families.

Mourners Remember Covina Officer Killed in Crash

The service for 28-year-old Jordan Corder, son of a retired Covina officer, is scheduled for 11 a.m. at a Pomona church. It will be followed by a procession through downtown Covina, where he was raised, before arriving at the burial site.
Covina police officer Jordan Corder died while on-duty Tuesday after his motorcycle collided with an SUV in Covina.  Police say Corder may have been trying to make a traffic stop of another motorcyclist when he was hit by the SUV that was attempting to make a left turn. CHP and the district attorney will determine whether any charges will be filed. We will update this story when more information becomes available.
