Woman arrested after driving on sidewalk, crashing into vehicle and utility box on Franklin Avenue and Whitley Street in Hollywood, California

A woman whose vehicle was stuck between and electrical box and a building drove down a Hollywood sidewalk and past a man walking his dog before crashing into a parked vehicle. Officers immediately took the woman into custody at about 11:30 p.m. near Franklin Avenue and Whitley Street. Details regarding how the woman's Nissan sedan became lodged between the utility box and building were not immediately available. The driver proceeded west on the sidewalk along Franklin Avenue for one block before turning left and nearly clipping another vehicle that was backing out of a driveway into Cherokee Avenue. The driver then slammed into a parked vehicle as officers ran to the location.
