A catering truck crashed into a tree in Los Angeles Saturday, leaving three women critically injured in an area buzzing with bees, a fire official said.

Arriving to the crash scene, located on the 1100 block of North Doheny Drive, firefighters extricated three people from the catering vehicle amid a swarm of incensed bees.

The crash was at 1200 N. Doheny Dr., in the City of Los Angeles, according to Los Angeles City Fire Department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart and county fire Dispatch Supervisor Robert Diaz. That location is in the steep hills above the Sunset Strip, just above West Hollywood.
A catering truck crashed into a tree just north of Sunset Boulevard in the Hollywood Hills area, trapping three women in the truck in an area filled with bees. All three were taken to a local hospital in critical condition. Few details have been released at this time.
