Anyone with information about the driver or who recognizes the car's description should call Detective Steve Fox at 562-570-7355, or anonymously at 1-800-222-8477.
Daniel Gomez, 20, was hit and killed by a hit-and-run driver in Long Beach in September. The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors has issued a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the driver. On Sept. 13 at about12:11 a.m., a silver Honda struck Daniel Gomez as he was crossing Spring Street near Studebaker Road. Officials said Gomez sustained critical injuries and was later pronounced dead at the hospital. Detectives believe the car was a 2011 to 2014 silver metallic Honda Fit. The car may have damage to the front driver's side including dents on the bumper and hood, a broken head lamp, a broken windshield and a broken or missing driver's side mirror.
