3 killed, 1 hurt after car crashes into Long Beach riverbed

Authorities say three passengers were killed and a driver was injured after a car veered off a road and crashed down an embankment into a riverbed in Long Beach.

3 Teens Killed in Car Crash Mourned

"Why would God do such a thing?" said Araceli Cooper, Yanonis' friend. "She wanted to be doctor. She was finishing high school. She was going to go to prom."
The vehicle flipped over and landed on its roof along the Los Angeles River at Anaheim Street around 4 a.m. Friday. According to authorities, two men and a woman, all in their 20s, were pronounced deceased at the crash site. The male driver, also in his 20s, was transported to a hospital with moderate injuries. The cause of the crash is being investigated.
