Driver Sought in Hit-and-Run Crash That Left Man Dead in Long Beach

Investigators believe an apparently abandoned Ford SUV found nearby may have been involved in the crash.

Bicyclist Killed After Trying to Stop Hit-and-Run Driver

Officials said they believe they found the SUV abandoned on the west sevice road of Long Beach Boulevard and West Adams Street. They believe the driver fled the scene then abandoned the vehicle and resumed to flee on foot.

Odie Ervin, 51, of Los Angeles was struck at about 1:20AM Monday at Long Beach Boulevard and Bort Street and died at the scene, according to the coroner’s office.
