A woman was thrown 30 feet and suffered serious injuries when she was struck by a dark sedan while crossing Imperial Highway early today, a police sergeant said.

An unidentified pedestrian was hit by a sedan while crossing Imperial Highway in Los Angeles. She suffered a broken jaw, head trauma, and many lacerations; but is expected to survive.
