Driver Who Plowed Into Home, Killing 1, Surrenders to Police

A woman who allegedly ran off after smashing her car into a Harbor Gateway house where a prayer group had gathered, killing a 73-year-old woman and injuring others, surrendered to police, officials said Friday.

At least five people were seriously injured, a Fire Department spokesman previously told The Times. One woman, whose name has not been released by authorities, died later at a hospital.
