An apparent hit-and-run victim in his 20s was found critically injured Friday morning in Pacific Palisades, police said.

Authorities are searching for the hit-and-run driver that left a young man fighting for his life in Pacific Palisades Friday.

A $100,000 reward has been offered for information that could lead to the arrest of the person involved in a hit-and-run crash that left a 23-year-old UCLA film school graduate dead in the Pacific Palisades in December.

David Pregerson died after being hit by a hit-and-run motorist in Pacific Palisades.

A Southern California couple was sentenced Friday in the death of an aspiring filmmaker who was struck by a car while walking home from a party in the Pacific Palisades.

“When you got to know him, you saw that he (had) a big heart,” said Elliot Schwartz, a UCLA alumnus and a close friend of Pregerson’s. “He made people feel like they had a place in his world.”

Pregerson was found in bushes on the side of the road on the 600 block of Chautauqua Boulevard around 3:20 a.m. Police say the victim was walking home when he was hit by a car and thrown into the bushes. The driver fled the scene. Pregerson was transported to a hospital in critical condition and he later died of his injuries. Friends say the victim was a budding filmmaker and recent UCLA graduate.
