The accident is on the southbound lanes of Beltway 8 feeder road at Vista. The La Porte EMS ambulance was on a call at the time, and had a patient on board.Life Flight has been called to the scene.

4 hurt when ambulance, dump truck collide in Pasadena

The injured victims include the patient who was being transported to the hospital in the ambulance, according to Pasadena police. The La Porte EMS ambulance had its lights and sirens on when it went through a red light on Vista, police said. The driver of the truck was heading southbound on the Beltway 8 feeder. He tried to swerve and miss the ambulance. Instead, the truck jackknifed and landed on the front cab of the ambulance. At least one of the injured victims was rushed by Life Flight to Memorial Hermann Hospital.
