Tyler Hartman, 22, of Newbury Park, died at the scene, coroner’s Assistant Chief Ed Winter said, and the driver was hospitalized with serious injuries.

Meantime, Hartman’s friend and roommate, Justin Rongstad, was reported in critical condition at Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital, hospital spokesman Patrick Moody said.
