A 45-year-old man was killed this morning in South Los Angeles when he was struck by a motorist who was arrested for DUI, a police officer said.
A 45-year-old pedestrian was crossing Vernon Avenue when he was struck by a 31-year-old motorist who was suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol. The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital where he was declared dead. The accident remains under investigation.
