Hit-and-run driver kills pedestrian in South LA crosswalk, police seek public’s help
A light-colored sedan going eastbound on Vernon Avenue ran a red light at Ascot Avenue and hit a man who was crossing the street southbound on Vernon within the marked crosswalk, LAPD Central Traffic detectives reported.
