A 42-year-old man was critically injured Friday night after being struck by a car in an unmarked crosswalk in Van Nuys. The 1995 Mercedes 280 was driving southbound on the No. 3 lane of Sepulveda Boulevard when it hit the man, who was crossing westbound at Covello Street. The driver, also 42, stayed at the scene and is not believed to have been impaired.
