Police Looking for Driver Involved in Fatal Hit-and-Run Crash in Orange

Police are looking for a hit-and-run driver involved in a collision that killed a man and injured a woman in Orange Tuesday night.

A driver was killed and his passenger injured when his SUV and a Ford pickup truck collided on North Tustin Street in the city of Orange on Tuesday, May 27, 2014.

Police are looking for a hit-and-run driver involved in a collision that killed a man and injured a woman in Orange Tuesday night.

The victims were traveling in a Ford Explorer in the 1500 block of North Tustin Street around 9:40 p.m. when their sport utility vehicle collided with a Ford pickup truck, Orange Police Sgt. Bryan Meissner said.

The SUV overturned and the Ford pickup truck fled the scene.

Both passengers in the SUV were transported to a hospital. The driver, a man in his 20s, was pronounced dead at the hospital. His 18-year-old female passenger was in stable condition.

It is unclear which vehicle was at fault. The crash is currently under investigation.
