Kendra Geddis, 10, killed, and Kayla Geddis, 13, and Donald Geddis, 49, injured in collision with alleged drunk driver Adam Kanas, 36, on Interstate 405 in Seal Beach, California

The two girls and their father were taken to Long Beach Memorial Medical Center. The 7-year-old died from her injuries. As of Monday night, the father remained in serious condition and the 13-year-old girl was in critical condition, according to the hospital.

Adam Kanas, 36, of San Clemente, was scheduled to be arraigned this afternoon on three counts of driving under the influence of a drug causing injury and one count of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated with a prior conviction.

Around 9:20 a.m. Monday, a California Highway Patrol officer was searching for the driver of a 2013 Chevrolet Tahoe reported to possibly be impaired when he came upon the collision near the Seal Beach Boulevard exit on northbound Interstate 405, according to a report from Joy.
