Baby Ejected From Vehicle in Crash That Killed Two People

An infant was ejected out of a vehicle and seriously injured in an Inland Empire collision that left two people dead Saturday night. Jose DeJesus Ibarra, 32, was driving on the northbound 15 Freeway north of Ontario Avenue just before 8 p.m. when he turned right across the traffic lanes and collided into an embankment, causing the vehicle to roll over. He and Rosio Ibarra, 26, were died at the scene of the crash. The baby was ejected from the vehicle during the crash and taken to Loma Lina Medical Center with major injuries. Police are unsure if alcohol or speed played a factor in the crash.

Toddler survives, both parents killed in I-15 crash

A Lake Elsinore couple has died, but their toddler who was ejected from the vehicle during a rollover crash on Interstate 15 in Corona has survived. The Press-Enterprise reports the crash happened Saturday around 8 p.m. when a Chevy Tahoe heading north rolled several times before resting upright. The couple, 32-year-old Jose De Jesus Ibarra-Espinoza and 26-year-old Rosio Ibarra, was pronounced dead at the scene. A California Highway Patrol dispatcher says the incident was initially reported as a hit-and-run collision. The child is reported to have nonlife-threatening injuries.
