Dennis Carver, 52, and Lorraine Carver, 53, killed in car crash on Avenida de Arboles near Murrieta, California

Just before 11 p.m., on a curve in the road just north of Palo Alto Lane, the car left the roadway and hit a metal intercom speaker and two brick pillars outside a home, CHP officials said.

The crash site was at the front gate of a local residence, according to the Riverside County Fire Department, who responded to the scene to put out the fire.
