Four adults were injured in Perris Sunday afternoon when a 19-year-old Romoland man suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol crashed his vehicle into a restaurant, officials said.
Four adults were injured in Perris Sunday afternoon when a 19-year-old Romoland man suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol crashed his vehicle into a restaurant, officials said. Authorities responded about 3:20 p.m. to the crash at Mariscos La Sirena restaurant in the 2900 block of North Perris Boulevard. One adult suffered major injuries and another received moderate injuries as a result of the crash, authorities said. Two other adults were minorly injured. Mario Balverde left the restaurant and was trying to drive out of the parking lot when he crashed into the building, according to the Perris Police Department. Balverde was arrested and booked for felony DUI resulting in injuries, police said. The restaurant did not receive any major structural damage, authorities said.
