Bicyclist Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries From Collision With Vehicle
The accident happened shortly before 9 p.m. Saturday night on East Tabor Avenue near Dover Avenue. The Fairfield Fire Department responded to the accident and rushed the victim to a nearby Northbay Medical Center.
Fairfield bicyclist severely injured in Saturday night crash
The driver of the involved vehicle, identified by police as Gary Berg, a 47-year-old transient, was arrested. Berg was booked into Solano County Jail on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs causing bodily injury and for a probation violation. Bail was set at $15,000, according to jail records. Any witnesses to the collision are asked to call the Fairfield Police Department at 428-7300.
