2 women injured in head-on crash in Roseville; Road closed

Two women were injured in a head-on crash on Washington Boulevard in Roseville early Tuesday morning. One of the injured women was in her 30s an dthe other was in her 60s; both are expected to survive.  Multiple airbags in both vehicles deployed as the cars sustained significant damage in the crash along. "Without those safety features, this would have been way worse," said Gregory James, with the Roseville Fire Department. It is unclear what caused the crash, but officials said it's possible that one of the cars clipped a guardrail near a railroad overpass before colliding with the other vehicle. Washington Boulevard near Pleasant Grove Boulevard will be closed down for some time as investigators and clean-up crews work the scene.
