1 bicyclist dead after being hit by car in Roseville

The bicyclists were riding northbound on Fiddyment Road when a gray Ford Fusion drove up behind them, officials said. The rear bicyclist somehow swerved, causing the car to veer off to the opposite side.

The driver couldn't swerve to the left because of traffic heading toward him, the CHP said. He hit the rear bicyclist, causing that rider to hit the front bicyclist.

The bike rider was killed and another rider seriously injured.  These riders were on a good will journey "Bike and Build".  I do not understand why I cannot get a follow up on this accident.  Is this being considered a "biker" accident with the car driver not receiving a citation.  Bikers do have a "right of way". Or are bikers unimportant in Idaho.  I would like some follow up info!!

Hi Mary, Since this awful crash just happened yesterday, there will likely be more information released in the days ahead. I will continue to add new information to our site as information becomes available. Thank you, Ingrid, Accident Data Center

I am the fiancé and the other bike rider who was injured and i have no idea why the driver has not been cited he was obviously driving to close and to fast I do not understand , the loss of Richard is so unbelievable and so avoidable if people would just pay attention when they are driving!!!!
