Sacramento police are investigating an early morning traffic collision that resulted in two fatalities. Shortly after 1:30 a.m., a car was traveling southbound on Howe Avenue, apparently at a high rate of speed, when it struck a tree in the center divider, just south of American River Drive, authorities said. “When the car struck a tree, the two occupants, later identified as Pardeep Singh Aulakh 23, and Deshpal Singh 25, were ejected and suffered fatal injuries,” said a police spokesman. The identities of the two persons killed were not released. When officers arrived, the vehicle was engulfed in flames. Traffic was diverted around the immediate scene until 6 a.m., when roads were reopened.   How can a lawyer help with an auto accident claim? First, having a lawyer on your side levels the playing field.  The person who caused the accident is required to immediately turn the case over to his or her insurance company.  The insurance company uses adjusters and lawyers who are specifically trained to deny or reduce your claim.  This may include denying compensation to family members who are entitled to receive benefits for loss of companionship.
