Accident Turns Fatal After Drunk Driver Fails to See Stopped Car

The 26-year-old driver was arrested for DUI and was later released to the hospital for treatment for his severe injuries. A 2006 Infinity M35 with a 22-year-old driver and 50-year-old passenger was stopped blocking the slow lane as they attempted to give assistance to a vehicle stopped in the right shoulder. A 2006 Toyota Corolla, carrying four people ages ranging from 22 to 26, failed to notice the stopped car running into the back of the Infinity. Two cars were involved in a collision on southbound 99 south of Mack Road around 4:15 a.m. As a result of the collision one of the passengers in the Corolla suffered fatal injuries.
