Vallejo police investigate pedestrian struck and killed by car Monday evening

VALLEJO -- A man was killed Monday evening when he was struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross the street, according to the Vallejo Police department. According to police, the man was struck by a 2011 Nissan SUV that was traveling southbound on Sonoma Boulevard north of Meadows drive. Police said at 6:58 p.m. officers responded to reports of an injury collision in the 5100 block of Sonoma Boulevard involving a vehicle and a pedestrian. Police said the driver, a 23-year-old American Canyon resident, immediately stopped and remained on scene until officers arrived. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene, and police said they are working with the Solano County coroner's office to obtain an identity.

Napa Man ID'd As Pedestrian Killed Monday In Vallejo

Vallejo police have identified a pedestrian who died Monday when he was struck by a vehicle as 42-year-old Michael Allan Gulley of Napa. Gulley was struck by a southbound 2011 Nissan SUV in the 5100 block of Sonoma Boulevard around 6:50 p.m.
