Sheriff's Deputy Dies in Crash With Suspected DUI Driver

Nicholas O'Loughlin was off duty at the time of the crash, which occurred shortly after midnight. He joined the department in 2017 and was assigned to the West Valley Detention Center.

O'Loughlin's Chevy Silverado was struck by a BMW SUV driven by Yijie Mao. Chino police suspect the 26-year-old was under the influence of alcohol and marijuana.
