Hibbert was northbound on Tippecanoe Avenue in a 2018 GMC Sierra when she blew through a red traffic signal at 3rd Street, sheriff’s officials said in a written statement.

At the time, Reed had been working two jobs to provide for her daughter and care for her mother. Once she was hired by Dignity, Reed was able to cut out her second job and use that time for school, Robinson said.
