Motorist Arrested on Suspicion of DUI After Fleeing Fatal Pedestrian Crash

Stuart was booked into the Vista Detention Facility on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter, misdemeanor hit-and-run and felony driving under the influence, according to jail records. He’s being held in lieu of $100,000 bail pending arraignment, scheduled for Friday afternoon.

Alleged Drunk Driver Who Struck Pedestrian in Oceanside Charged with Murder

Wesley Stuart, 27, was also charged with gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, hit-and-run and drunken driving, and faces 15 years to life in state prison if convicted of all charges stemming from the Tuesday night death of 65-year-old Tran Thanhminh of Oceanside.
