Man killed in SR-78 crash identified as Escondido resident
Paramedics and firefighters extricated Flores from the crashed van, but he was pronounced dead at the scene from multiple blunt-force injuries.

David Flores, 22, of Escondido, died early Saturday in a single-vehicle accident on State Route 78 in San Marcos. Flores was driving east on the freeway at approximately 12:50 a.m. Saturday when his car traveled up the Las Posas Road exit ramp and crashed into an impact-absorbing structure and a concrete barrier. First responders were able to remove Flores from the wrecked vehicle but he was deceased at the site.
