2 hurt in suspected DUI rollover crash

A 23-year-old suspected drunken driver and his 24-year-old passenger were seriously injured Sunday night when they were ejected from a SUV in a rollover crash in San Marcos, authorities said.

A motorist was driving a Toyota 4-Runner on East Borden Road near Mulberry Drive at high speed when they lost control of the vehicle on a curve. The 4-Runner rolled several times and ejected the driver and passenger. A deputy found the vehicle at around 8:30 p.m. lying on its roof in a dirt field nearby. The people were taken to a local hospital for treatment of their injuries. Drugs and alcohol are expected in this crash.
