Driver dies in Vista collision

After the two cars crashed, the Honda struck a traffic signal pole, authorities said. The driver, whose name was not released, died at the scene.

The BMW rolled over and landed in a nearby parking lot. That driver was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries, authorities said.

Victim in Fatal Vista Crash Identified

Richard One Lee was killed when his Honda sedan struck a BMW at the intersection of South Santa Fe Avenue and Civic Center Drive shortly after midnight Saturday then wrapped around a traffic signal pole, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department and the county medical examiner's office.

Driver in Fatal DUI Crash in Vista to be Arraigned

The defendant faces 10 years in state prison if convicted. Horiuchi — who’s free on $500,000 bail — will be back in court Aug. 12 for a readiness conference. A preliminary hearing is set for Oct. 19.
