Crash in west Marin County kills three

A driver passing on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard, east of Point Reyes Station, spotted a wrecked car and stopped, finding the three deceased men inside, CHP Officer Andrew Barclay said. The driver called for help at 12:15 a.m.

3 killed in car cash in Northern California's Marin County

Authorities in Northern California say three young men were killed when their car ran off the road, stuck a power pole and two trees and fell into a ditch in Marin County.

California Highway Patrol Officer Andrew Barclay says the crash occurred just after midnight Tuesday near Lagunitas and was reported by an off-duty National Park Service ranger who came upon the wreckage.

The Marin Independent Journal reports (http://bayareane.ws/2e43OPx) those who died have been identified as Chance Maurer, of Novato, and brothers Chancellor and Lancelot Argall, of San Anselmo. All were 18.

The Toyota crossed the eastbound traffic lane and went off the road where it struck a power pole and two trees at a high rate of speed, Barclay said.
