A man who was killed in a crash on northbound Interstate Highway 280 in Daly City on Wednesday has been identified by the San Mateo County coroner’s office as 33-year-old Gilbert Vallejo.

A person was killed Wednesday evening when a Toyota Corolla hit the center divide on northbound Interstate 280 in Daly City, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A person was killed Wednesday evening when a Toyota Corolla hit the center divide on northbound Interstate 280 in Daly City, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The accident, which involved only the Corolla, occurred about 4:45 p.m. on I-280 near the Westlake Avenue off-ramp.
The left three lanes of northbound I-280 were blocked for about two-and-a-half hours after the crash. They opened about 7:30 p.m., according to the CHP.
UPDATE: The victim of this accident has be identified as Gilbert Vallejo. 12/19/13.
