While Joro Petrovmoray, 40, is not accused of causing the accident that killed 77-year-old Daly City resident Jose Rosel on Dec. 4, he has been charged with a felony for allegedly driving away from the scene without calling for help, San Mateo County District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe said Monday.
Police are looking for the hit-and-run driver who hit and killed a 78-year-old male pedestrian in Daly City Thursday night.The pickup truck driver hit Jose Euan Rosel of Daly City, on State Highway 35 near Westridge Avenue around 11:30 p.m.The driver left the scene after hitting Rosel and remains at large. Rosel died from his injuries. A witness described the truck as a full-size American-made pickup truck, possibly a Ford or Chevrolet, with a ladder rack. It is likely to have moderate front-end damage and a damaged windshield.The driver was last spotted driving south on Highway 35 in the direction of Westmoor Avenue.
