Juvenile pedestrian injured, transported to hospital, after being struck at a crosswalk in the Balboa Terrace area of San Francisco.

A juvenile was struck and injured while walking in crosswalk on Wednesday evening in San Francisco’s Balboa Terrace neighborhood.

Police said a boy was hit by a car that was turning onto Junipero Serra Boulevard from Ocean Avenue.

The boy was transported to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said.

The driver remained at the scene and was cited for failing to yield to a pedestrian and not having proper proof of insurance.

The collision remains under investigation.
