Suspect in Santa Rosa police chase crashes into building

The incident began when an officer tried to stop Draudt shortly after midnight Thursday for running a red light near Santa Rosa Avenue and Hearn Avenue, police said. After initially pulling over in a parking lot, Draudt got back on Santa Rosa Avenue and headed north, running several more red lights along the way, police said. Draudt then headed east on Flower Avenue, tried to turn on Petaluma Hill Road but instead hit a building, police said. Two officers caught him as he tried to run away.
A driver evading police crashed into a building, hitting a water main and gas main. Two passengers were pulled out of the vehicle by police and later released. One of them, a woman, was taken along with Draudt to a hospital due to minor injuries.
