Portion of Highway 118 remains closed after fatal crash near Moorpark
The driver of the sedan, which had Oklahoma license plates, was declared dead at the scene, officials said. They were continuing to investigate the crash, but both vehicles remained in the westbound lanes more than two hours after the crash.
CHP closed the highway in both directions between Balcom Canyon and Grimes Canyon roads. CHP Sgt. Cars were being rerouted onto Grimes Canyon and Balcom Canyon. The CHP expected to reopen the road by about 12:30 p.m. Wednesday.
