State Patrol said drugs and alcohol were not factors in the crash. But an investigation is ongoing.

A Colorado Springs woman was killed in a crash in Black Forest Thursday afternoon, according to the Colorado State Patrol.

The Hyundai hit the left rear of Martin's car, then crashed head-on into a Mercedes-Benz traveling east on Burgess, according to CSP.
One woman was killed in a three-car collision in Black Forest Thursday around 3:50 p.m. near Burgess and Wakely Roads. A Hyundai traveling west on Burgess Road swerved to avoid a 2009 Nissan. The Hyundai collided with that car and a Mercedes heading east on Burgess. The passenger in the Hyundai, Cynthia Fields, 55, of Colorado Springs, was transported to Penrose Hospital, where she later died. The driver of the Hyundai Damon Fields, 49, of Colorado Springs, was brought to the hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the Mercedes, Ramona Williams, 46, of Colorado Springs, and her passenger were also taken to a hospital with moderate injuries. The driver of the Nissan, Bridgette Martin, 45, of Colorado Springs, was not injured.
