Police in Colorado were working Wednesday to unravel a roadside mystery that began with a rollover crash and ended when one of the passengers was run down and killed. Jesse Plouvier (PLOO'-ve-yay), 21, of Florence was charged with vehicular homicide after the hit-and-run incident early Sunday south of Colorado Springs, the El Paso County Sheriff's Office said.
Authorities are asking for the public’s help in finding a driver who was involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash near Colorado Springs. The Colorado State Patrol says three people were involved in a rollover crash near mile marker 38 on state Highway 115 at about 2:45 a.m. Sunday. They were trying to flag down vehicles for help when one of them was struck and killed. The victim has been identified as 33-year-old Ian G. Saj, of Brush. Authorities are looking for a mid-sized or large sedan, possibly a Dodge Stratus or Intrepid, that left the scene. The vehicle would have damage to its front end, likely on the driver’s side, and possibly a damaged windshield. Investigators do not know the vehicle’s color.
