The driver was taken to a hospital for treatment. He was arrested at the hospital for vehicular homicide, vehicular assault, hit and run, DUI and other traffic charges.
Dog refuses to leave owner who died in crash
The Humane Society responded to the scene to care for an injured dog, which was also in the car at the time of the crash. The dog refused to leave the side of the deceased, according to news crews on scene.
