One Fort Carson soldier has been killed and six others injured in a rollover accident during training at a Fort Carson training area.

Fort Carson Soldier Killed In Vehicle Accident Identified

Base officials say 31-year-old Staff Sgt. Justin Holt, of Bogata, Texas, was killed and six others were injured when a Stryker fighting vehicle turned over. Four of the six injured soldiers were treated and released from local hospitals.

At 10 p.m., one of the training vehicles was involved a rollover crash in a Fort Carson training area.

Investigators say a Stryker combat vehicle got lost during a February 2015 exercise at Fort Carson. The vehicle was turning around when it drove over a cliff and rolled 250 feet down a steep slope.

A soldier is dead and six are injured after a truck they were riding in rolled over during a training exercise at Fort Carson on Friday. One of the injured soldiers is reported to be in critical condition. The accident is still under investigation and the names of the soldiers involved have not been released.
