Police have arrested a 27-year-old woman accused of hitting and killing a pedestrian with a stolen car in a Walmart parking lot in Fountain.

Investigators say that after hitting the victim, Champigny collided with a parked car in a parking lot in the 200 block of Plaza Blvd.
Suspect in deadly Fountain hit-and-run enters plea
Rebecca J. Champigny, 27, pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity. Her next court date was scheduled for August 10, 2015.
A 67-year-old woman was crossing in a crosswalk in front of a Walmart when a 27-year-old woman, Rebecca J. Champigny, struck her and fatally wounded her. After hitting the pedestrian Champigny crashed into a parked car. She was arrested on charges of vehicular homicide and motor vehicle theft.
