Two injured in crash on I-25 north of Pueblo

One person sustained life-threatening injuries and another was treated for minor injuries after a crash on Interstate 25 early Wednesday.

Man seriously hurt in bad crash on I-25

On I-25, a 2002 Camaro driven by Quillen was traveling south when he lost control. The vehicle went off the left side of the road and began to rotate clockwise. The Camaro continued northbound across the center median and into the southbound lane, where it collided with the left front of a 2007 International pulling a trailer.

John Quillen was driving his car northbound on Interstate 25 when he reportedly lost control of the vehicle and crossed the median. Nicholas Summer was driving a semi-truck southbound and collided with the car. Quillen was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and suffered life threatening injuries. His was transported by ambulance to a local medical center. Summer was wearing a seat belt and treated for minor injuries. Troopers believe high speed and inadequate tires are factors in this crash.
