Investigators are looking for a driver who ran down a man and then sped off in Avon.
Police say the hit-and-run was at 2:30 a.m. Tuesday on Highway 6 near the entrance to Beaver Creek.
So far no witnesses have come forward.
The man was taken to a hospital in Vail but is expected to recover.
