Kavon Andrew Nikmanesh, 29, arrested on multiple charges after crashing his car into a Peerless Tire store in Broomfield, Colorado

A man believed to have driven a car into the side of a Peerless Tire store has turned himself in to Broomfield Police. Early Saturday morning, a witness saw a white Toyota Camry had been driven into the side of the building at 11985 Teller St., causing several thousand dollars in damage that included a gaping hole on the west side of the building. A man was seen getting out of the car and walking away. Officers searched the area, but the driver was not found. On Saturday evening, Broomfield Police say Kavon Andrew Nikmanesh, 29, came to the police department and said he was the driver of the car. Police say Nikmanesh said he lost control of the car. The car is registered to Nikmanesh’s father. Nikmanesh was charged with hit and run, reckless driving and duty upon striking an unattended vehicle or property. He was released on $500 bond and is due in court April 22. Tim Hart, a regional manager for Peerless, told the Broomfield Enterprise it appeared car crashed at a high rate of speed. The store opened Saturday despite the damage.
