Engine problems possible cause of Carbondale plane crash

The plane, a single engine Cessna 182G, crashed at 10 a.m. near Highway 82 between Glenwood Springs and Carbondale. According to initial reports, witnesses say the plane seemed to be having engine problems shortly after taking off from Glenwood Airport. The owner of the plane is responsible for the salvage and reclamation of the plane from the site. The reports say the pilot, Beniot Delavaiffiere, appeared to be attempting an emergency landing when the plane flipped over onto its back and crashed.
