Teen arrested for DUI in Centennial crash that killed 2

Jones was allegedly driving near South Colorado Boulevard and East Peakview Circle, when he crashed with another vehicle at around 3:40 p.m. A woman was ejected in the crash and died at the scene. A second woman inside the same vehicle was taken to a hospital and died later as a result of her injuries.

Audrey Burton, 87, and Gayle Buckwalter, 82, were killed in the crash that happened on South Colorado Boulevard near Peakview Circle. According to records, the driver had T-boned their car while they were making a left turn from East Peakview Circle to southbound South Colorado Boulevard. Both Burton and Buckwalter were ejected and died.

A memorial at the crash site has been growing since the Friday. Friends and family say Buckwalter and Burton were the best of friends who were very active in their church and will be missed.

Drunk Driver To Be Sentenced For Deadly Crash

Taden Jones[1], 19, took a plea deal at the Arapahoe County Courthouse in Centennial in January. Jones was driving when he struck and killed Carolyn Burton and Gayle Buckwalter in April 2016 in a drunk driving crash.

Teen Sentenced To 12 Years In Prison For Deadly DUI Crash

The plea could have carried a 24-year prison sentence for Jones but the judge sentenced him to six years on each count of vehicular manslaughter to be served consecutively.
