Severe injuries reported after car hits fire hydrant

At least one person was severely injured after a two-car accident where a vehicle hit a fire hydrant. It happened just after 4 p.m. Tuesday near the intersection of East 11th Avenue and Syracuse Street. Denver Police say the crash shut down northbound Syracuse at 10th. What caused the crash was not released, nor how many people were injured.
