Court sought man who died in Fort Collins pursuit
The Larimer County Coroner's Office ruled that Miguel Perez-Romero, 20, died due to blunt force trauma early Sunday morning.
A man who sped away from a Larimer County Sheriff's Deputy died when he lost control of his vehicle and crashed during a high-speed chase early Sunday in Fort Collins, Colorado. The chase began around 12:30 a.m., when the deputy spotted a silver BMW sedan blocking the westbound lanes of Harmony Road. The pursuit reached excessive speeds of 100 miles-per-hour as the sedan pulled away from the patrol car. The sedan then lost control, went into the center median and smashed into a cement pillar. The car continued to smash into two small trees and a bus stop before coming to a halt.
After an injury car accident, take these steps to help the recovery process
When someone has been injured in a car crash, it's hard to know what to do to help. Injured people need appropriate medical treatment, but they also need to have their civil and legal rights protected.
After a serious crash, several steps need to be taken, including dealing with the insurance companies, tracking and documenting lost income from missed work, coordinating medical bill payments, and handling an insurance claim.
